It was established in September 2008  and construction began in March 2010 as Omar Zakhilwal laid the first stone who was Minister of Finance and President of the Afghanistan Cricket Board. The Stadium has a seating capacity of about 14,000 for cricket lovers. It is operated under the Afghanistan Cricket Board and owned by the Government of Nangarhar province. Its construction cost was about $1.8 million and later a pavilion and administrative building was added.

2. Kandahar International Cricket Stadium

The Stadium is located in Aino Meyna, Kandahar, Afghanistan. Its establishment was done in 2012 and about 44 acres of land was donated by Mahmood Karzai (businessman and Politician) to the Afghanistan Cricket Board. In August 2014, the Indian government granted $1 million for this project under their scheme for small development projects. The construction of the Stadium was completed in 2007. The Stadium has a seating capacity of about 14,000 spectators.

3. Kabul International Cricket Stadium

It is located in District 8, Kabul city, Afghanistan. The stadium establishment was established in 2011 and was ready to host matches in 2012. The stadium has a seating capacity of about for Cricket lovers. USAID funded its construction and the Afghanistan Cricket Board provided technical support for its construction.

4. Khost Cricket Stadium

The Ground is located in Khost province in Afghanistan. It was established on 30 December 2016. The German government has assisted with 700,000 euros for the Afghanistan Cricket Board in the construction of the stadium. It has a capacity of about 6,000 spectators.

5. Kunar Cricket Ground

It is located on the banks of the Kunar River in Asadabad (capital city of Kunar), Afghanistan. The stadium has a capacity of about 1,000 for spectators to enjoy the game. Its construction was started in 2017 with funding of a $100,000 grant from the Asian Cricket Council.
