Introduction

As we are in the year of the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies, the excitement level is going up and up people are starting to plan for the World Cup and everyone is booking their tickets and hotels. World Cup in Cricket is like a festival; fans celebrate it as religion and can leave even their work to witness the game. Today I am going to share with you details of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 which is scheduled to be played in the USA and West Indies. ICC T20 World Cup 2024 - USA and West Indies

Tournament Format:

All 20 teams will be divided into four groups like Group A to Group D five teams in each group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 round. Furthermore, the 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups 4 of each and then the top 2 from each will qualify for the knockout stage (called semi-finals) and the winner of the semi-finals will play the final.

Host and Venue:

The USA will host the first ICC World Cup with West Indies as a co-host. Both countries have shifted gears for preparations as the event is around the corner and is expected to be played in June 2024.
