Eden Gardens Kolkata Stadium is
located in Kolkata, West Bangal, in India. It was established in 1864. It has
seating capacity of 68,000 after renovation before World Cup 2011 for cricket
lovers. It is also known as home of Indian cricket. In 1934 first match was
played here between India and England Test. It has also hosted many
international matches. Eden Gardens hosted World Cup 1987 final, World Cup 1996
semi-final and final of T20 World Cup 2016 which was played between England and
West Indies and West Indies ended as champions with Carlos Braithwaite’s 4
sixes in last over.
Eden Gardens witnessed record highest
individual score 264 in ODI against Sri Lanka in 2014 by Rohit Sharma. This stadium
is owned by Indian Army. It is home ground of Indian Premier League franchise
Kolkata Knight Riders owned by Shah Rukh Khan. It is also home ground of most
stylish left-hand batter Sourav Ganguly.
2.Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi
Capacity: 48,000
Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium was built
in 1883 in Delhi. It is second oldest cricket stadium of India. In 1948, first
ever match was played here between India West Indies. It has seating capacity
of 48,000 for cricket fans. It is managed by Delhi Cricket Association. Stadium
has hosted many historic matches. Anil Kumble took 10-wicket haul in single
test innings against Pakistan here. It is home ground of IPL Indian Premier
League franchise Delhi Capitals. This stadium was banned by ICC due to unfit
pitch in 2009. This was happened during an ODI match between India and Sri Lanka.
3.JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi

This stadium was built in 2011 in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Ranchi stadium has seating capacity of 50,000 for cricket lovers. This stadium has state-of-the-art infrastructure and has nine pitches. This stadium is home ground of Jharkhand cricket team. Stadium was inaugurated in 2013 and has hosted 2 matches of IPL so far.

Tamil Nadu state, India. It is owned by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. It was
built in 1916 as it is third oldest cricket stadium of India. Its first name
was Madras Cricket Club and then renamed after the former BCCI president M.A
Chidmbaram. Stadium has seating capacity of 40,000 for cricket lovers. It is
home ground of Tamil Nadu cricket team and IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings
(CSK).
In 1934, first ever was played here between
India and England. India also registered their first Test victory in same
ground in 1952. This stadium has record of first ever Ranji Trophy game played
here. Cricket lovers of Chennai are famous for their support for players and
teams. Pakistani batter Saeed Anwar recorded his highest individual score 194
in 1997 here. Crowd gave standing ovation to Saeed Anwar for this innings.
6.Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmadabad
Capacity: 132,000
Narendra Modi stadium is located in
Ahmadabad, Gujarat state, India. It was established in 1982. It is biggest
cricket stadium of world. It has seating capacity of 132,000 for cricket fans.
It is owned by Gujarat Cricket Association. Stadium was known as Sardar Patel
Stadium. In 2015, Gujarat Cricket Association decided to reconstruct stadium.
Their vision was to make it biggest cricket stadium of world. Reconstruction
cost was about 8 billion Indian Rupees. Gujarat government donated 50-acres
land for reconstruction.
Stadium was renamed after prime
minister of India Narendra Modi after reconstruction in 2021. It has six indoor
practice pitches and state-of-the-art floodlights. It has 4 entry points and
dressing rooms. Cricket lovers can enjoy 360-degree view here. It is home
ground of IPL franchise Gujarat Titans and WPL Women Premier League franchise Gujarat
Giants. Before its reconstruction, MCG Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia
was biggest cricket stadium in world. Sunil Gavaskar became first-ever
cricketer to score 10,000 runs in Test in same venue.
7.Inderjit Sinhg Bindra Stadium, Mohali
Capacity: 27,000
IS Bindra stadium is located in
Mohali, Punjab state, India. It was established in 1993 and named after the
former BCCI president IS Bindra. Its cost was 25 crore Indian rupees and took 3
years to complete. It is owned by Punjab Cricket Association and has seating
capacity of 27,000 for cricket fans. India and South Africa played first match
here in 1993 during Hero Cup. It witnessed semi-final of World Cup 2011 between
Pakistan and India. It has pacer-friendly pitches but slowed by time. It is
home ground of IPL franchise Punjab Kings and Punjab state team. It has hosted
many international historic matches. India has never lost a test match in
Mohali stadium.
8.Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

It is located in Hyderabad,
Telangana state, India. It is owned by Hyderabad Cricket Association. It has
seating capacity of 60,000 for cricket lovers. It is named after former prime
minister of India Rajiv Gandhi. It was established in 2004 in 16 acres and
became fully ready in 2008. This stadium is home ground of IPL franchise
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Hyderabad Cricket Association.
9.Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
Capacity: 32,000
It is located in Mumbai,
Maharashtra state, India. It was constructed in 1974 and has seating capacity
of 32,000 for fans. It is owned by Mumbai Cricket association. It is named
after a politician SK Wankhede who played major role for its construction in
only six months. He was secretary of Mumbai Cricket Association. It is home
ground for IPL franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) and Mumbai Ranji team.
First match was played here between
home team and West Indies in 1975. 2011 World Cup final was played here between
Sri Lanka and India. India became champions for second time in ODI World Cup.
Stadium was reconstructed before 2011 World Cup. It is also home of two Indian
legends Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar played his last
international match at Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai Cricket Association, IPL, and

10.Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai

It is located in Churchgate,
Mumbai, Maharashtra state, India. It was established in 1937 by British
government. It has seating capacity of 50,000 for cricket fans. It is named
after former governor of Bombay, Lord Brabourne in British era. It is owned by
Cricket Club of India. It hosted first test match between India and West Indies
in 1948. Brabourne stadium faced many issues due to Mumbai Cricket Association.
It is second best cricket stadium in Mumbai after Wankhede stadium. It is now
hosting matches of WPL Women Premier League. Now stadium is also considered for
international matches after BCCI new policy.

1. Gaddafi Stadium Lahore

This stadium is home of PCB Pakistan Cricket Board. It was
constructed in 1959 in Lahore. Its original name was Lahore stadium but later
it was named by Libyan leader Colonel Ga*dafi. The capacity of stadium is
almost 27,000 for fans. PCB's main training academy is also located at Gaddafi
Stadium Lahore. It hosted two World Cups matches and also many franchise
cricket finals.
It is also home ground of PSL franchise Lahore Qalandars. Its
pitch type is batting-friendly and famous for high scoring matches. Gaddafi
Stadium was first stadium of Pakistan with floodlights and backup generator. It
is now hosting matches of PSL. It was renovated in 1990 to give more unique
look.
2. National Stadium Karachi
Capacity: 34,000
It was built in 1955 in Karachi. It is biggest stadium of
Pakistan and can hold about 34,000 spectators. It is home ground of PSL
franchise Karachi Kings and also among old and best stadiums of Pakistan. It
hosted World Cup matches and also many franchise tournaments finals. Its
pitches are batting friendly but in tests, the case is different because it
gives advantage to bowlers later on.
Stadium is also considered as Fortress of Pakistan Team
because Pakistan team has good win percentage at National Stadium Karachi. It
is very iconic stadium for Pakistan cricket because it has many memories for
cricket lovers and players.
3. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium
Capacity: 28,000
This stadium was constructed in 1992 in Rawalpindi.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is home stadium for twin cities Islamabad and
Rawalpindi. It has seating capacity of 28,000 for spectators. It is considered
as home ground of PSL franchise Islamabad United. It hosted 1996 World Cup
matches and also many franchise tournaments. It has batting friendly pitches
and matches played here always high scoring.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is Pakistan’s 3rd most
famous cricket stadium. After Gaddafi Stadium and National Cricket Stadium
Karachi, it is considered for many matches. The crowd here always comes up in
big numbers to support their favorite stars and teams.
4. Multan Cricket Stadium
Capacity: 35,000
Multan Cricket Stadium is located in Multan city of Punjab,
Pakistan. It has seating capacity of 35,000 for fans. It was constructed in
place of Ibn-e-Qasim Bagh Stadium in 2001. It has high quality Floodlights. Its
pitch is both batting and bowling friendly. It hosted many T20 international
and franchise matches. Stadium also hosted many ODI and Test matches due to
quality pitches.
Recently, Test matches were played here against England.
England toured Pakistan after so many years. It is home ground of PSL franchise
Multan Sultans. Multan Sultans is very consistent team of PSL. Multan Sultan
has won PSL 2021 edition in captaincy of Muhammd Rizwan.
5. Arbab Niaz Stadium Peshawar
Capacity: 20,000
It is located in Peshawar city of KPK, Pakistan. It was built
in 1980s in Peshawar city. It has seating capacity of 20,000 for cricket
lovers. Arbab Niaz Stadium is home ground of PSL Peshawar Zalmi. Although, it
still not hosted any match of PSL. Its construction is in progress and hope
that it will host PSL 9 matches in 2024. Peshawar Zalmi is two time champion of
Pakistan Super League.
Its pitches was ideal
for spinners but after reconstruction, let’s see what results we will get. It
hosted many International matches. At first its name was “Shahi Bagh Stadium”.
6. Bugti Stadium Quetta
Capacity: 10,000
It is located in Quetta city, capital of Baluchistan
province, Pakistan. It was constructed in 1954 and hosted many international
and exhibition matches. Its pitches are good for batters to score. It can hold
about 10,000 fans with its seating capacity. Recently, an exhibition match was
played here between PSL franchises Peshawar Zamli and Quetta Gladiators.
Purpose was to engage Quetta fans with cricket and PSL.
It is home ground of Quetta Gladiators. Quetta Gladiators is
one time champion of Pakistan Super League.
7. Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad
Capacity: 18,000
It was built in 1970s in Faisalabad city of Punjab, Pakistan.
It is named after great Pakistani poet and dreamer of Pakistan Allama Muhammad
Iqbal. It is named Iqbal Stadium to honor great poet of world and Pakistan. It
has seating capacity of 18,000 for cricket lovers to watch match in stadium.
Its original name was “Lyallpur Stadium”.
It hosted 1996 World Cup match. The pitch here is friendly to
batters to score more runs. Many international and local matches are played
here.
8. Niaz Stadium Hyderabad
Capacity: 15,000
It is located in Thandi Sarak, Rani Bagh Qasimabad,
Hyderabad, city of Sindh, Pakistan. It was constructed in 1959 and named Niaz

hat trick of Pakistani bowler Jalaluddin. Its pitch is batting friendly and

9. Jinnah Stadium Sialkot
Capacity: 18,000
It is located in Sialkot, city of Punjab province, Pakistan. It
was constructed by British government back in 1920s. Its original name was
Jinnah Park and was later modified to Jinnah Stadium in 1979. It is one of the
oldest cricket stadiums of Pakistan. It has seating capacity of about 18,000
for fans to watch their favorite players in stadium. Its pitches are heaven for
bowlers to bowl on. Its green pitches are friendly for fast bowlers.
10. Jinnah Stadium Gujranwala

It was constructed in 1958 and was later modified in 1980s to
1990s. It is located in Gujranwala city of Punjab province, Pakistan. First
match was played here in 1991 between India and Pakistan and famous as Sachin
Tendulkar made his debut. It has seating capacity of 20,000 for cricket fans. Last
international match was played in 2000s in which Aleem Dar made his umpiring
career debut. It was built by former mayor of city, Muhammad Aslam Butt. Many

Gawadar Cricket Stadium is famous for his beauty. It is
located in Gawadar, city of Balochistan province, Pakistan. It has attracted
many local and foreign players due to its location and charm. ICC International
Cricket Council tweeted about its beauty. It is surrounded by high mountains
which increases his beauty. It has not hosted any international match but many
local exhibition matches are played here.
It declared as most beautiful cricket stadium of world.
Stadium has not any seats but fans can watch matches here. Soon it will be
constructed according to ICC standards to host international matches. It was
inaugurated in 2020 initially.
12. Pissan Cricket Stadium Gilgit Baltistan
Pissan Cricket Stadium is considered as highest cricket
stadium of world. It is located in Hunza Nagar, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It
is situated at an altitude of 8,500 feet above sea level. If you are cricket

standard cricket stadiums for cricket lovers. UAE is second home for many
cricket playing countries. They have built many cricket academies and training
centers for cricketers to improve their fitness as well. United Arab Emirates (UAE)
now has their cricket team which is improving day by day.
UAE cricket grounds
are first priority for Pakistani, Indian, Sri Lankan and Afghanistan cricket
boards to host matches if respective countries could not host matches in their own
countries due to any reasons. UAE has hosted matches of Indian Premier League
(IPL), Pakistan Super League (PSL), ICC Cricket World Cup and Asia Cup. ICC T20

opened on April 22, 2009 with cost of approx. 75 Million Euros to build and has seating capacity of almost 25,000 for cricket lovers. It is owned
by Dubai Properties. This stadium has world class flood-lights which provide
high quality visual in stadium and also on TV screen. Architect for this
project was famous Canadian architect, Awsam
Matloob. This stadium has world-class infrastructure. This stadium is home
ground for United Arab Emirates national cricket team and UAE franchise league
team Dubai Capital.
First match was played here ODI
between Pakistan and Australia in 2009.
This stadium is second home-ground for Pakistan to host their matches. Apart

owned by Bukhtir Group and architect
for this project was Peter Hudson Buckle
& Partners. This stadium is home ground of UAE national cricket team.
Stadium holds the record for the most ODIs hosted in a venue. Sharjah Cricket
Stadium has hosted 240 ODIs matches which is world record also registered in
Guinness Book of World Records. First match was played here ODI in 1984 between
Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

UAE. Sharjah Cricket Stadium hosted Pakistan
